3,300 metres above sea level. Didn´t think much of it but, wheeey, makes a big difference!

Anyhows, me´s off on the trail to Machu Picchu tomorrow, and after that, to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, so you might not hear from me for a few days.

I have got hold of Sheila in Ecuador and told her that I´ll try and get up there. There´s so much to see and do here - methinks my next stop after all the Ínca stuff is the Amazon/Iquitos - but I´m gonna try and see her before my return to Brixton.
